Will this new system be compatible with our DDR2 ram,PCI express X16's 2.0 GPU's ,Sata Hdd and other components where we can just buy a MB,cpu and I guess a new HSF or we will need to just build a whole new system?

From what I've read Nehalem will only be supporting DDR3 memory and everything else should be fine . You'll need a new motherboard , DDR3 memory and of course the Nehalem cpu of your choice.

Okies thanks.Shame they couldnt make it where you could use the same ram. From what I have read DDR3 isnt all its cracked up to be

Actually DDR3 is very good memory. It's just not worth the price vs performance compared to DDR2 at the moment. However as time goes on DDR3 timings will improve and prices will drop. Some DDR3 has already started dropping in price.

I'd say, earlier this year 4GB of DDR3 cost around $700, now you can get 4GB for around $180.

you can get a good quality 4gb muskin kit of ddr3 for about 350 at newegg, but they say its supposed to be tri channel ram, in otherwords, kits of 6gb will work best
