hey,
I know you can get neon lights to go inside the case and everything but i was just wondeirng if they are any you can get that can go on the outside but still look effective and any that can stick on the monitor etc.
Any help would be appreciated
 
maybe you could mount them outside the case, drill a small hole for the power lead from the neon into your case and connect it that way.

You could drill a hole yes, but I would use duct tape myself just because I like duct tape. and then no holes if you decide you dont like the neon anymore :)
 
any neon can be mounted anywhere, as long as it cvan get power from the PSU smehow, be warned though, my first set of neons, blue ones, i left one of them on my desk when i was testing it after building, the ligh was right underneeath my CRT monitor, it made the screen go absolutely crazy and it hissed at me too. So i think neons interfere wioth CRT's a bit, so dont mount them anywhere near the CRT.

Don't put neon lights on your monitor.

Even if you have an LCD, which doesn't experience the visual distortion which the CRT's do due to the electromagnetic radiation which the neon lights release, the light from the neon bulb could wash out colors, and make things look less vibrant.

Try it, use your monitor in a bright room and then in darkness, and you'll see what im talking about.

Good idea. But when i saw the case that guy did it on ...ugh!
How about duct tape till ur sure you wanna do it, then drill holes. I think you might not want to though...atleast i wouldn't like having a bright light coming from my case (if the neons are inside, its better cuz you only get the glow from through the case window)
Of course, this all depends where your case is.
