Nero 9 Help

Nero 9 came with my DVD drive. I like nero, partially becuase of the name, partially becuase it's fancy. However I have 2 major problems with it.

1. When it plays DVDs it never has any sound. VLC works fine, but nero, no sound.

2. When it plays MP3s the sound gets kinda choppy like when you multi-task and do something like browse the internet. I noticed spcificlly when you scroll up and down on a webpage it sort of shutters. And that's anoying becuae I like to listen to my music when I work. I would use windows media or VLC but nero costs money, so it must be better.

Anyone know how to resolve any of these?

you get nero free with loads of dvd drives, it was good in its day but its never moved on im afraid, try ashampoo burning studio its free and much better.

No, right now you have 269!

Anyway, Dave1701, Nero is not known for players but it works fine for the other stuff. Money has nothing to do with it. Sometimes players are added to media apps so you can preview or view the result of a burn. Better to go to a standard media player. Lots out there WMP and VLC already mentioned. There's Winamp, Media Player Classic, Google for the rest of them. I mostly use Billy which is a completely bare bones player.

I had a lot of trouble with Nero 7-8 because they "stole" a dll from my TV app. When I upgraded to Nero 9, it deleted the dll so my TV did not work. The new Nero dll had a different name so reinstalling my TV dll where it used to be got the TV working again. I mention this because it's possible Nero 9 may be doing the same with some of your other files and causing play to be choppy. Skip the Nero player.
