Nero is messing up my comp???????

I've had Nero installed on my brand new system for the last weeks and yesterday it seemed to cause a problem that I had at one time on another system but never was able to solve. Sometimes whenever I try to open Nero from the start menu the hourglass pops up for about 2 seconds then goes away and the program never pops up. Now after this happens no matter what program I try to open it I get the same result and the only solution is restarting my comp. Anyone else got this problem?
 
i get this problem all the time with nero. it takes about 5 minutes or so for the program to open. i have never really had problems with it messing up my computer and not letting me open other stuff....
 
Just out of interest have you looked at the Task Manager to see if the Nero process is listed?

i dont think i've ever waited 5 minutes to see if it would start. Maybe I'll try that next time but it is sooooo annoying. But i dont see why it would do that.
 
Try seeing if the process is actually running. It should be something like Nero.exe, if it is running in the task manager but it's not opening if you click on that process and end it, it should allow you to open other programs, I've had this problem before and I just un-installed and re-install the problem program.

Yes I looked at the task manager and its there but if I attempt to end the process it never does. Its like it hangs before it even fully starts up.

It helped me in the past. 99% of the time I had this problem, uninstalling and reinstalling the application fixed the issue.
