nero is controlling how i view my pics instead of windows cant i go back to windows image viewer ?

Right Click a Picture > Open With > Choose Program... > Windows Picture and Fax Viewer

Then check the box that says "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" and "OK".

And you're checking the box and Nero is still the program being used to open the files by default?

its not giving me that option in set defaults

Go into folder options under the tools menu and click on the file types tab. Change file associations that way.
