Iwas installing nero but i keep getting a intallation imcomplete after it goes thru the whole process. It tells me that it is not compatible with an earlier version. i had the real old nero it was a demo . but now im installing the nero 7 premium version/ultra. im running xp so i any1 has any thought of my problem please let me know .

try uninstalling the older version of nero first

Yes uninstall the older version and restart your computer then it will install fine.

I have used both Nero 6 (OEM) and Nero 7, and I found 6 to be better. Nero 7 was a resource hog, quite unstable and crashed to the desktop quite often. Hope your experience is better.

i've been using nero since nero 4, and each version has been better than the last

well i unistalled the previous 1 but when i install the new 1 i get da same error message im thinking bout installing the demo off the internet and then using my product key to activate it . do u guys think this way is possible to get it to work

When you uninstalled the old program did you make sure you got rid of it completley such as temp files? make sure everything has been deleted, even the smallest of things may cause the problem.
