Hi,

I want an 11,6inch but as crazy a it sounds I want to be able to watch HD movies. I also download alot, use microsoft office and adobe, and other little programs. I do not want the computer to lag when I multi-task. Alienware jsut came out with a new 11,6inch that would do the job, Now is there any 11,6 inch laptop that would meet my requirements under the price of the M11x(which the the new 11,6 alienware). I would also need a HDMI output.

Thanks for the help!!

I think the alienware would be your only option as far as netbooks go. I would get a laptop if I was you.

Look into netbooks/ultraportable laptops with the SU4xxx/SU7xxx processors (IE CULV Pentium/Core 2 duo) These are dual core processors that perform tremendously better than most all other netbook processors. I'm not sure if you'd find an 11" laptop with one of these, but the Asus UL20A is a 12" with the SU7300 (though I had my fair share of problems with that model).

I just got a Toshiba S135 with the Pentium SU4100. It'll play HD youtube videos without much of a problem and seems to handle 720p videos in Media Player Classic just fine. I did see some skipping when trying HDMI, but I was running with both displays and no other tweaking.

thnx for the reply
as for the last poster,
the M11X is a 1,3GHz SU7300.
I assume you are therefore saying it will be a good netbook

Well, if you're willing to wait until the price drops, the newly released dell Adamo is a good choice.
Here are the specs of the Dell Adamo XPS
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo U9300 1.2Ghz
Memory: 2GB RAM
VGA: Integrated Intel X4500 graphic adapter
Storage: 128GB Solid State Drive
Weight: 4Lbs
3 USB Ports
13.4 Inch Screen Size

Ive looked for the Dell adamo.
The XPS is great but in Canada so expensive, I mean near 1000$ more than my alienware. Altought the specs are different the dell adamo was a good choice but way to expensive. I also watched a review and they said the way the laptop was built, it was very to open the laptop by accident since I think(if my memory is correct) it uses some sort of finger sensor, like you slide your finger on the edge and it just pops open.

And I need a laptop now lol school!(Altought I will still have to wait a month to get my M11X)

Very true.
I think it's because it's newly released though.
The M11X Actually looks really good for it's starting price, I am assuming that you'll beef it up so the final cost would be about 900$ U.S.
Not sure about the conversion into Canadian dollars though.
