netgear router/bullet ftp server - problem

router = netgear dg834
ftp software = bulletproof ftp server

ive registered with dyndns.org and pointed it to my ip address
i can connect to the ftp locally (ftp://192.168.0.2)
but i cant connect to it through using my dns (i.e so people on the internet cant connect to my ftp)
why is this?

A friend of mine had some problems with dyndns, but then he switched to no-ip (http://www.no-ip.com/) and everything is working fine for him.

local ip its ok cant get on it unless ur on me network

If you can't connect to that ip from internet, then you won't connect to it with dns either...

Forward the port and if that doesnt work launch urself into the DMZ
