NETGEAR router question.

If you plugged the router INTO your Computer (wan cord into your 2nd ethernet card.
Answers: NO and No

If you connected your dekstop wirelessly to your dektop, and also a connection to your laptop
Answers: Yes and Yes

Your setup should be:

Modem to Router to Desktop/Laptop.

NOT Modem to Desktop to Router to Laptop.

You'd need to connect the modem to the router, then from the router connect to the notebook and desktop. They have to be in the same network (same Workgroup name).

i dont have/use any modem.
When i want to connect to the internet i put some numbers which ive got them from the operator that i pay to.
