I'm considering things I want in a gaming pc for the next time I buy/build one, and someone brought this network adapter up in a forum. I have heard reviews about it claiming it is the best thing ever for online gaming, but the idea seemed a little skeptical.
Does anyone use this? It seems like a high price to pay just for better framerates and slightly lower ping.

Due to the fact that you have an integrated graphics solution, the nic is the least of your worries. ;) Personally I think spending that kind of money on a network card is ridiculous, but not my money.

I believe most network cards today support full duplex, 100Mbps, etc etc... As long as you have a decent router, most any network card should do fine. I have still yet to understand the true purpose of that "Killer NIC"... Perhaps it's time I do a little research and see how fast it truly is...

lol I don't use my current pc for gaming, just for school and storing my media. Yeah, that network card didn't seem all that great, no matter what the reviews said.
