Network Card?

Are PCI network card faster than USB network cards? Or is a ADSL Cable faster?

In theory the PCI bus is 32 bits wide at a speed of 33MHz so...

The "M" in "MHz" is 1,000,000 (10^6), but the "M" in "MBytes/second" is 1,048,576 (2^20).
32/8*33.3*1,000,000/1,048,576=127.2 MBytes/second for the theoretical bus speed. Are you going to be getting a gigabit connection? Not likely.

And we all know USB 2.0 standards are 480 Mbits/second, or 60 MBytes.
Are you going to be getting a 480 Mbit connection? Not likely.

ADSL is picky and doesnt work well over long distances, and because of its lesser populatiry its less likely that it is available in your location, but you can always check.

Another option which you didnt consider: Integrated (1, 10, or 100) gigiabit ethernet connections standard on most motherboards. Compared to the other two it definitely has the fastest bus speed.

You wont notice the speed difference between the interfaces. In all likelyness you'll be stuck with whatever options your ISP provides you with.
