I've just moved into a new place so I'm not with a proper service provider yet but I've been able to log on to btopenzone/btfon and pay as u go for internet. Then all of a sudden two days ago btopenzone/btfon dissapeared from the network connection list. All other wireless services show up but these that I can use. There are 2 unsecured connections "free public wifi" and "hpsetup" but these two don't get me anywhere.
Now when I look under "manage connection" btopenzone and btfon are there but I can't connect.

Anyone has any ideas what could be wrong? :(

If those networks aren't detected then you need to contact them for support. Did you try refreshing the wireless networks?

The issue most likely is that the owners of that network either changed the network and made them hidden, or shut them off completely. As John said, you need to contact the owners of those networks.

Thanks for the reply guys.

I contacted them and they told me to try the usual, delete cookies, disconnect reconnect...but there's nothing there to disconnect. I'm so lost don't know what to do :(

Btw, when it says. "Plug a cable into the network adapter "local area connection" what does it mean? I haven't needed to use a cable for a long while

It means that there is no cable plugged into your ethernet port, which is normal if you don't need to hard wire in.

That happen and to me.
Most of cases is because sometimes wifi card got "lag".
To fix it, you must go in your wifi manager or from windows wifi manager and delete all WiFi profiles.
Then reboot your computer.
If you failed to fix, then use this http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider
Then scan for active wifi networks. If show and the target network broacast, mean somethin go wrong with your wifi card. (re-install drivers) If no show the wifi network you are looking, simple mean :
