i recently went through some very big problems with my pc so i had to reinstal the os but when i did somehow the network drivers where lost

i have looked everywhere for the drivers i need(brand:linksys;model:NR041) but my searching skills are not good enough

any help is greatly apreciated

Are you sure it's Linksys? That or are you sure you got the correct model number? Most everything from Linksys starts with a W. I did an over all search for that model and found a few drivers for what appeard to be a USB modem.

Yes, that's what I came across... I didn't bother though seeing as he said he was Linksys. And you don't need drivers for a Router. Not unless it's USB, which those are harder to set up IMO :P

yup, i suspect since he didn't know about routers & drivers, he probably was mistaken about the manufacturer as well...

well it says right on top of the router "Linksys" and it says on the bottom "model Number: NR041"

but i could have been wrong

either way i don't care i will take anything at this point

i made a search for just plain "windows xp network drivers" but it turned up less than usefull

Hi..I want to make sure I understand your question. You said you format your computer and now you are unable to access the internet, is this correct? if so, you need to find a driver for your network card not your router. A Router does not need a driver but instead it has something called Firmware. If you have a network card that is built into your motherboard download the driver from the motherboard manufacturer's website. If you have a seperate network card do a google search. Hope this solves your problem...

i have the same router i bought on ebay. I just got it today and am unable to get it to work myself. After configuring it it still doesn't distribute the dns info even manually configured.
A friend of mine just bought the same one the other day and when I set it up for him I fought with it and fought with it. Finally I popped in the disk that came with it and ran it through the setup wizard and had it up in running in minutes.
If you accidentally reset it back to the factory defaults you have to go through the setup disk all over again. There's something about the way it does it that I can't seem to figure out. It's very odd when you run the wizzard it has you plug in your cable/dsl modem first to pull the information from it first and then it runs you through plugging in your router to the modem and your pc. after it does that it seems to work.
Of course the one I bought on ebay didn't come with the manufactures cd and they dont seem to have anything to replace it available online.
If anyone has the original disk for this router could you please make a zip file with the stuff on the disk in it and post it here. It shouldn't be to big, if it's not to much trouble.
I'll keep lookin and if i find an alternate download i'll post a link to it here.

BTW the manufaturer is actually Network Everywhere. Linksys just helps them promote it, like in walmart since they pretty much own the shelves where the network equipment is at there, lol

this seems to be the right one here
