I am setting up a home network on two computers, one being an Inspiron 6000 laptop. They are connected via LAN cable to a Linksys router. I ran the "Set up a home or small office network" separately on each computer and Allow File and Printer Sharing was enabled on both computers, and both computers are on the same workgroup. The problem is, the Inspiron's shared files are not accessible by the other computer even though there are multiple folders shared. Access Denied comes up when trying to click on the computer in the workgroup window. However, the Inspiron can access files on the other computer. I completely disabled all firewalls and antivirus programs on the Inspiron. Remote desktop is enabled on both computers if that does anything. Anyone know how to fix the problem?
