Network is a mess

HI-------I screwed it up all by myself and I now get so many different errors that it is beyond saving. Problem is I don't know how to start from scratch by deleting the existing networks and starting new.
I'm running windows 7 ultimate. A DSL modem and a Linksys wrt54gl router. I'm also using PureVPN.
A little encouragement and some instructions would be appreciated. Frank
 
What exactly did you screw up?
What exactly are you getting as far as errors?
 
Geeeez---I'm an old guy with no memory and I haven't written anything down.
I can access the internet with an unknown network (used to me home net) I get blocked port error. Have had DNS errors etc etc

Unidentified network generally presents that status when you don't receive a DNS domain from DHCP. If you are having DNS issues you could try changing your endpoint from the DHCP-obtained value on the router to something like 8.8.8.8 which is Google's public DNS.
 
Are you connected via an ethernet cable to your router or are you wireless? It should be Modem > Router > Clients. What were you using PureVPN on before, your router or PC?
