Network printer issue. Not being seen by desktop

Another issue here since I had switched my work computers from desktops to laptops.

We Originally had set the laptops as wireless but due to some complications, we have recently went back to wired computers.

Now this being said, we have 10 computers in here now. Only 7 are working on the network printer. All the computers are wired now.

The only difference is the laptops are all using windows 7 64 bit while my desktop is using windows xp professional.

My computer(The desktop) was printing to the printer just fine before we swapped out the computers.

Now that we have swapped them out, my desktop cannot reconnect to the network printer. I cant locate it, I cant type in the name or the IP address for it.
The IP for it is 192.168.1.112. Now I know that's working just fine cause all the other computers are printing to it just fine and we have had all 10 connected to it before.

Any idea why I cant connect up to the printer?

Anytime you have an issue with a network printer that you can't print from a computer or two, the first thing you need to do is reinstall the printer on that specific pc and see what happens. I've had to reinstall the printer at a few clients house because one computer loses connectivity to the printer. Usually just an ip address issue.

Well that was my issue, I couldn't reinstall it. See I don't have a CD just using the online drivers. And it could never find the printer at all. But I think I had figured out what happened. I don't know if It honestly has anything to do with it but read up somewhere if your in a different work group that it can really screw up things.

Never-less, I changed my work group and was able to get the printer to install finally!

Now I just have to fix the box wireless printer. Someone shut off the power the other day which killed power to all the routers, now the printer wont reconnect to the computer and cant find an IP address.

Got to love technology. As always thanks John
