network upgrade advise, 25 computers

I currently help out with the network setup at the church I attend. Here is a rundown on the current setup:

DSL modem/router/WAP from AT&T, handling the DHCP routing. This is connected to n 8-port hub. We have two additional 8-port hubs uplinked. There are also three WAP spread out over the facility. The server is running XP Pro, as well as the workstations.

The main use of the server is for file sharing and a couple of networked programs....nothing major.

We are wanting to do some upgrades. First off, I expect to switch to Windows Server 2003 so we can better control access rights to certain directories. I also plan to switch to gigabit network by changing the three 8-port hubs to a single 24 port gigabit switch.

I have a couple questions:

1. For what we will be using the server for (described above), is there a benefit to having the enterprise version over the standard version of Server 2003?

2. Would it be best to make the ATT all in one modem/router/WAP just a modem/WAP and get a dedicated router? I was looking at the D-Link Gigabit Gaming Router (DGL-4100)

I am not new to networking, but I admit that the scale of this is greater than what I am use to. Any advise on setup or equipment would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You!!

1) The only major benefits is user licenses and connections. You will probably find that the SBS (small business server) will suite your needs.

2) Yes, a good router can do wonders. I assume their router is the lowest bid model and that is what they supply.
