Hi guys,
Iam new to this forum, and fairly new to hands on networking (my theory is fairly solid though), this is my first post after searching rather extensively.
Well now, the predicament i am in:
I have a netgear WPN824v2 router with my laptop connected to it wireless, and a mac connected using wired ethernet. I am trying to do two things:
1)monitor network traffic, i.e. which packets are going where
2)access the apple mac somehow from my pc (i can ping it though) tried using "run" and the //"apple mac name" but no luck here..
I have sieved through pages and pages of info, none of which refers to this scenario even remotely. The PERFMON command in XP will not work either i just tried it, it wont even find the Mac computer.
I am sure one of you helpfull guys can shed some light on this fairly unconventional setup.
thanks in advance guys..
