networking and assigning driveletters

First of all, thanks to all who helped me on my networking questions. I ended up using a usb linking cable which works fine. I would like to assign the remote computer a drive letter to make file access for winamp etc possible. Tried several approaches and have had no sucess. Any tips?

Map network drive? Create a shortcut? If you want it to show up in my computer,I dont think you can do that.

For location just do //computername/folder/folder
