hello to ev eryone
i first posted in general,ithink i picked wrong catagory

trying to set up three computers on a network at home.
1 desktop has vista,host computer has xp home,laptop has vista.
belkin router sees all three,laptop works properlywith wireless connection to internet .all three have same workgroup. router sees mac addressesand ip addresses. what do i need to next. not sure what software to use,even if i need software. i thought if router sees all ,icould get files from one puter to another,i guess i was wrong.file sharing is turned on also.

File sharing can be turned on but if you don't have any folders shared you won't get anywhere. Open up my computer and find what ever folder contains your data. Right click it and select sharing under the properties menu. From there you should be able to figure it out. Let me know if you need additional direction or if this doesn't help.
