today i ran out to canada computers to buy a Galaxy GeForce 8800 GT. I got the one with the huge fan and no cool looking cover, but i dont really care. I got home, removed my old agp card, plugged in my new video card, fired it up and bam no picture.

I have a ASRock motherboard
this one I think

I am using a 425W power supply. I have both 6 pin power connectors completely connected to the video card, as well as the other ends of the cables plugged into my power supply (total of 4 4-pin power supply thingies).

The fan on the vid card spins successfuly

i plugged in my old vid card along with the new one and no luck from either of the vid cards.

I am using the dvi to vga adapter to plug in my monitor

no sure how i can help you... but by the way your mobo's pci-e slot only runs at x4... so to use the card at full capacity you will need to buy a new mobo

have u tried to plug your monitor into the other DVI port oh yea an is 425W enough power to run that card it will say it in the minnium system reqriments on the box or in the book

check the link you posted yourself that card is not even on the vga supported list.

thats your problem.

reddevil... he has the pci-e to molex convertor... thats why he is saying 2. because on one end it connects to 2 molex connections and on the other its a 6 pin pci-e
