new 8800 gt wont work

update:

I took the video card back to Canada Computers and got some tech support there. The guy tested the video card, it was fine. He said that my motherboard would not be the problem, it should support it fine since it supports a 8800 GTX. He told me it was the power supply that was the problem and i would never be able to run a 8800 gt off of a 425w power supply, so he recommended i get a better one. So now I have a 520w power supply with native PCIe connectors. After trying again, it still doesnt work. I put the old card back in, it works fine.

I still have no idea.

no, even if you power supply is not enough for the card the card will still run but when it goes to the desktop it nvidia sentinel will downclock itself so it'll still run.

k i found out that my specific motherboard does not support GEN2 of the VGA bios, so I need to downgrade to GEN1.

now i just need to find it, any help would be appreciated
