The New 8800GTS with the G92 Core seems to be performing better than all the cards compared overall, in almost all the benchmarks provided.

EDIT: This Thread has already been posted but I didn't see it. Here is the other Thread; but it didn't get many replies though.

It doesn't look very amazing over the current 8800GT. From looking at the specs, they are practically the same card. One just has a better dual slot cooler, and an "S" at the end of its name. Look at a comparison of specs here: 8800GT vs 8800GTS

Sweet zombie jesus it's as good as the 8800GTX!!! And almost as good as the Ultra!!! I can only imagine what the new GTX will pack! Any word on when that's coming out?

The 8800GTS is not that much better than the 8800GT but its a performance increase you would like to have for the extra 40$. Especially if you are going to be playing Crysis; you need every last one of those frames

But I think the information from gpureview is not correct because 8800GTS 512MB have 128 stream processors, not 112

gpureview says 112

On the benchmark posted in this thread, the 8800GTS does exactly the same as the 8800GT. Something is wrong...

The New G92 8800GTS has 40FPS on High and 57.74FPS on Medium, and the 8800GT has 38.22FPS High and 62.24FPS on Medium

I think there is some thing wrong with Crysis benchmark

I would like to see other reviews

EDIT: I think this is more believable

Oh great, then the 8800GT is still an excellent card :) Not regreting from ordering it ;)

How come the HD2900XT 1GB GDDR4 performs worse than the 512MB GDDR3 verion?

That Crysis benchmark isn't accurate because it's with overclocking done. Look at the other benchmarks for more accurate idea.

will the new 8800gts G92 Core card be compatable with the same mobos as the other 8800gts cards or will it mean a new mobo?

It will work on any motherboard with a PCIe slot.. so yeah, it will work on yours. PCIe 2.0 is compatible with PCIe 1.0, from what i have seen i dont even know if there is a performance difference between 1 and 2.. maybe slightly
