New assembled PC - your views

:good:I wish to have a new Desk Top PC - contacted a vendor with following specification
Processor : Intel I3 dual core
Mother Board : ASUS P7
Hard Disc : 500GB SATA
Ram : 4GB
Monitor : 21" ASUS wide angle view
DVD writer : Asus
He says Asus Mother board it self come with Sound Card & Graphic card - and it is OK for normal work, as I am using PC just for writing and Internet access. So no extra graphic and sound cards
The approximate price he quoted : around Rs 30,000
Is it OK?
Give your valuable opinion. Depend up on your views I would like to change my requirement so that I will have a PC which is hassle free:)
 
Uh, that's the equivlant of like, $800 here, which is...a horrible price. At least, for what we pay here?

Would you consider building your own computer? If so, which country do you live in? Because over here in the US, you can get a perfectly fine computer for writing and internet for $400 USD, which I would guess is around Rs 15000. Like I said though, I don't know where you live or the prices of computers where you live.
 
It is in India. I3 processor and motherboard costs around Rs12,000/-, Monitor around Rs 9500/-, Hard disc comes aboutRs 5000/-, DVD writer about Rs 2000/-, .... The price appears to be OK in Indian Market. I do not know really.
