New ATI 5850 coming?

I stopped at Fry's today and there was a tag for an ASUS 5850 but no card. I asked them to check stock and the told me it was discontinued. There are almost no 5850 cards other than the overpriced XFX Black ones at any local Fry's. ASUS discontinuing this card has to make you at least wonder.

It would be a good time right after/ while the new nVidia cards come out.

There was an EAH5830 released not long ago.... maybe that's why? the 5840's actually have higher power consumption that the 5850's, lol.

I just checked ASUS website and the card is not there, who knows, ATI might not want to compete with the 5870.
