For some reason my motherboard is not detecting my hard drive. I have tried all my sata ports and double checked the power supply which is correct. I can't get into bios setup for some reason so what should i do? ANy suggestions?

thanks in advance

You must get into the BIOS.. Keep pressing delete as the computer powers up. Then make sure that the IDE is set to Auto Detect in the BIOS. If that doesn't work you may have a bad cable or harddrive.

If you take the hard drive out you should still be able to boot up and access the bios shouldn't you? It's been so long since I have done this that I can barely remember. (Because in some cases the computer freezes when at the point of detecting the hardware before it manages to load the bios, so removing it might help get you into the bios although I can't recall if you can actually boot and get into the bios without a hard drive).
