this all totals to a bit over $2100 au.
i will be using it for mainly gaming and id prefer to be able to max out pretty much all games.
is there anything i should change to make it cheaper?
is the ssd really worth it?
Is the gtx570 overkill for 1920x1080?
is anything else overkill?

Thanks in advance :good: :)

that site is a rip off, newegg sells all of those for less, and i mean in total at least 100 in your pocket less, closer to 150 or 200 really. and the gtx 570 might be struggling a little to pull 1920x1080 if you've got the shader up and everything else too., i'd go newegg and take what you saved to go 58/90

It's an Australian site, it's no rip off for us  You'll notice the OP is in Australia.

GTX 570 will be fine for 1080 so long as you don't apply stupidly high amount of AA. 4x/8x should be fine. Should you need to go multi monitor I would suggest 6950 2GB cards.

750w is a little overkill unless you plan to multi-gpu in the future, otherwise any quality 550w will do (Antec/XFX/Corsair/Seasonic/Silverstone all have good internals made by Seasonic/CWT etc)

Excellent build otherwise :) Always good to see more aussies here :D

@ jonnyp11, this site is the cheapest one ive seen from australia and i would go a 580 but they are rather expensive.

@linkin, so the gtx 570 should do alright? i also wont be going multi monitor (at least for the forseeable future). i also think ill keep the 750w incase of upgrades ands things like that.
Aussies ftw haha :D

looks like a good build, but if i were you and i had the extra money id be getting 8gb of ram, seeing as how everything else is (i wouldnt say overkill) but very nice parts. just my 2 cents, i mean 4gb is plenty for all games.

True but 8GB is good for many things, like vast multitasking and virtual machines. Games like ArmA and GTA IV will eat RAM for breakfast as well. And for people like me running integrated graphics, you can dedicate a large amount of it to the IGP and still have enough memory for all the above things.
