Well just when you think ye haaa

I am haveing problems with my new build freezing up on me.When I say freezing up,,I mean I will be running along great then all of a sudden the computer freezes up...all mouse activity ends,,control alt delete will not bring up the processes screen,,nothing naa da.

Pulling the electrical source was the only way to get it to boot back up.It does it again in about 3-5 min.Now it wont boot up at all.

I tried to run avast anti virus but after about 2 min the computer just freezes.

Its something in the build gone wrong.I am not sure.I ran pc wizard and watched the temps on the board and they were all good. core 1 and two at 31c main board temp 35c and processor steady at 43c.

here is the build with no over clock.Factory stock.

e6750
Gigabyte ga p35 ds3l
4 gb of corsair xm2twin2x2048-6400c4 memory
msi vga nx8400gs td256reh video card.

Someone please help me.

Download Memtest86 and scan the memory overnight. Also download hard drive diagnostics and scan.

That would be great but it will freeze up just min into it.

If your thinking its in the Memory then Should I try pulling the memory that is in there and putting in a different brand?I have a stick or two of something else around here.

well, that is definitely worth a try, so yeah, go ahead.

I had that happen to me when I upgraded my RAM on my Dads Dell. I wouldn't actually have to pull out the plug from the outlet, but I got BSODs whenever I started to play a game, or run a program. I flipped the RAM sticks and everything worked out alright. Try switching the memory sticks and see how that happens, maybe you put them in the wrong slots.

If you have access to another graphics card try swapping the one you're using with that, maybe you could borrow from another computer.

Could it be possible you're operating installation went a bad- try re-installing it.

I doubt it would be the GFX, although you could check your temperatures.

A bad installation might cause freezes... But why would a corrupt installation cause no POST? A dead HDD would not cause that... unless you swapped boards... (did that once. Didn't even start, 2 different model WDC HDD PCB boards)

I tried to use a old hd and it was not stable.I got a new samsung in and its working like a champ right now.
