Like to thank everyone that contributed to my post from a month ago. My problem ended up being the front power button has a few tiny wires that plug into a small plastic block. I always thought this was some kind of ground. Turns out this small block is supposed to be plugged into the MB which is how the power button, HD lights et al get juice. In fact, I think this small block somehow got unplugged from my old MB which would mean I didn't need a new MB all this time. Oh well.
I have an old, standard USB keyboard and a PS/2 mouse plugged into the back of my PC. I hit DEL on startup so as to get into BIOS and make it point on startup to my DVD drive. The Sabertooth MB I use has a real nice "Windows" looking BIOS program, I hit DEL and get to the main BIOS page but that's it. Keyboard and mouse don't work.
So I guess the question is I finally got my PC build functioning. What is the first thing YOU would do to get this rig up and running??? Weird cause I've been building my own rig for about 15 years. Every five years I drop about $1500 in parts so I can get the latest and the greatest. 5 years seems to be about the time it takes for most standards to change. USB 2.0 into 3.0. SATA 3 into SATA 6. Vid cards are much stronger, more stable. Thanks for the help.
