Hi guys, I need help asap, I'm more then willing to put 20 into your paypal to help me get this going. I bought a brand new mb, case, parts, everything. It's all finally come in today. The problem I'm having is it won't turn on. I followed a youtube video made by newegg, and did exactly what they asked. I'm looking for somebody with skype or some sort of IM. I need to get this fixed tonight as I don't have the space to have all this stuff lying around, and this is my only day off. If you have skype or whatever IM, PM it or on here and I will get the program and meet you on there thanks

First of all give us a list of what exact parts you bought. Did you plug in the 4/8pin cpu power connector from the power supply? Did you use the brass stand offs between the case and motherboard?

This is why I wanted to use IM or skype, cause i was going to go on webcam and show everything I've got. I'm not sure about all these terms, but I plugged the biggest cord that came from the power supply into the power slot on my MD. I'm not sure what brass stand offs are, they wern't mentioned in the video. Do you have skype or anything, I could really use some help.

This is all the parts I have literally.

I don't have skype, sorry.

You don't know exact parts you bought? How are we supposed to know that by you showing us the parts? Don't you have a receipt? These are brass stand offs...

You need the 20/24 pin connector plugged into the motherboard and also you need the 4 or 8 pin cpu power cable plugged in.

I posted the parts, and I'm pretty sure I have plugged those in. Here I'm going to make a video with my camera and upload it to a site, can you bare with me for like 15 mins please.

You need power connectors plugged into both of those circled in red.

hey so I have it all booted, however my dvd drive isn't working? It's on, it ejects and works in terms of power, but on screen it's acting like no disc is being read. I only have one cord plugged from the drive to the computer and it's 4 ports. On my old computer I use to have to plug in a different piece I believe.

Your motherboard doesn't support IDE connections. You will need to buy a SATA dvd drive.

Okay.. can I not install windows via a usb? When I try to boot from USB it just says "loading operating system". Also when I press f12 at the main menu it restarts 2-3 times, each time pressing f12 and then finally on the third or fourth try the boot menu will come up?

Yeah, but its a little more difficult.

or you can find other articles about it by searching. I would just recommending getting a sata dvd drive.

Oh I know how to do it via a usb, but like I said in my last post when I press enter on USB it just says loading operating system, also when it first booted up I set it to achi mode. I'm also running it via HDMI, but like I said it keeps rebooting when I press f12 and only after a few times will it go to the boot menu only to afterwards say "loading operating system" I also just bought a sata drive on ebay anyways.
