I'm purchasing my new build tomorrow and keep in mind that I have a budget of about 600 bucks:

-MSI K9N SLI Platinum NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI AM2 - $140
-AMD Athon 64 X2 5600 2.8 GHZ - $150
-Corsair DDR2 2GB PC2-6400 - *$30.00 *after rebate
-Zalman CNPS9500 AM2 CPU cooler - $60.00
-BFG Tech NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT OC - *$230.00 *with employee discount ;)

Opinions? I'm feeling pretty good about the build, but just curious on what you guys think - thanks!

I think this build would be better

-GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L - $95

-Core 2 Duo E6750 - $189

For $600 might be better off with a MSI Neo P31 or a P31-DS3L...

With that 9500, you better like jet engine sounds ;)

well, i went ahead and got the stuff - just waiting on the ram, but will be using my pny ddr667 ram for now - i wasn't planning on getting the video card today, but as soon as i saw that they had it in stock, i said "**** it!"

either way, i'm stoked. :)
