New Build question.

hi!

I seem to recall reading somewhere that it is advisable to clear the CMOS on a brand-new MoBo prior to installing it and the rest of the components in the case.

Is that true? I have built 4 Rigs from the ground up, but never did this. Does it make a difference?

If they work, no, there's no reason really. Read up on the updates included and see if they even apply to you. Some updates allow for newer processor compatability, some fix little problems like hang ups and such.

Wow, I mis-read that didn't I Haha, yes, bebopin is correct, if you meant clearing them.
