that memory is a little pricey but good.

i would recomend maybe 2 320GB Seagate drives almost te price of the one 400GB you have picked.

Great choices! The only thing I might change would be the video card, maybe to an X1900XT or so.

8800gts

I would get the EVGA 8800 GTS from newegg for $469. Much faster than the 7950 and it would compliment the system you're building much better.

thanks a ton for the info's, i've checked out the hd and vcs, i'll definetly look more into the hd and video card, but the memory is a 20 combo discount deal and additional 40 from rebate ^^ so 255 for 2 gig isnt bad right?

$255 for 2GB is decent, but you can find cheaper before rebates.

And as others have said, I would look into the 8800GTS/GTX.

No thats not bad at all. I'd get the 320GB Seagate HD too. It's $94 and I have one. It's better than my other 300GB Western Digital by far. Newer tech. Are you buying a new Monitor?

He has a nice fancy LCD Tv that hes planning on using for his desktop, Nice wide and fancy, sigh* i have a 15" square tv :(
