I'm going onto my second build, This one is for my main computer, Doesn't have to be a moster but I'd like to be fast, cooling and no noise from it like this one.

My Budget is upto £500 Pounds, I'm needing everything, Building from the ground up, I get confussed at times looking at hardware and trying to fiqure what works with what.

I'm looking at Intel Core 2 Quad, Is it the best parts at the moment?

Anyways, I'm looking for some help and it would be apperciated if anyone could help me find some hardware or good bundles.

What do you think of this Bundle? £220, Giving me 200 odd left to play with :D

Thanks Folks,

here what oyu do. you buy the parts in my sig, BUT you get a 550W+ PSU, an 8800gt, and a 250+ hd. as for the quad, its not happening, you will be paying 200 bucks just for the *beep* CPU. oh and then you can always still buy xp, or whatever you plan on doing there!

those other 200 bucks arent gonna get you anything nice, youll be looking at a lowly video card, case, and hd.

i personaly love searching for parts.

I personally will not get that bundle
Q6600 £137
RAM £52
So your unknown quality China manufacture Mobo is £70!? You can get a nice Gigabyte Mobo with that!
GA-EP43-DS3L
GA-EP45-DS3L

With approx £500 (price from ebuyer, except Mobo; and price inc VAT excl delivery), You could get:
Q6600
GA-EP43-DS3L
OCZ/ Consair 2x1GB DDR2 RAM CL4
Zotac 9600GT
Optiarc AD-7200S DVD burner
Seagate 250GB 16MB Cache
OCZ 500W PSU
Cheap case, say £20
Vista Premium OEM 64bit

Just forget to say, what will you going to do with PC? Any gaming?
And is your £500 need to include Monitor?

Oh, you do a bit of photoshop? You may want to get 4GB RAM

Q6600: £135
Zotac GeForce 9600 GT: £107, Just checked ebuyer.com, they have a Point of view 8800GT 512MB at same price:eek: Get the 8800GT
GA-EP45-DS3 Intel P45: £80 + Delivery £6 @ awd-it.com. Haven't seen P43/P45 chipset on ebuyer yet...
Seagate 250GB 16MB Cache £35. The Samsung 500GB is only £45, you may consider.
OCZ 500W PSU £35

So That's £400 roulghy right, without RAM and a case? What else is needed ? Fans?

Zalman Cooler ?
http://www.awd-it.com/scripts/prodV...man+CNPS7500-CU+LED+110mm+Super+Flower+Cooler

This one?
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/144021
What's the difference with the 8800GT and the 9600GT ..?

2GB should be good enough for now I reckon, I don't use PS that much - now and again that's about it, If need be I can always buy another set of 1GB sticks along the line but I do have spare 512MB DDR2 stick here just incase it needs it.

Cheap Case,
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/134804
but would it be worth it going for dearer Case I like which has 120 mm front/rear fans - better for cooling - ?
http://www.xcase.co.uk/p/371755/nzxt-hush-low-noise-chassis---silver-.html

I do hav the extra cash and If getting good prices and a good comptuer I don't really mind that much going over the budget slighty,

Thanks again mate, apperciate the help!

Not sure about that Zelman cooler, most ppl go for high end 9700.
Amm... Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro is actually a good cooler at around £15

8800GT 512Mb is faster than 9600GT 512MB

I personally like Thermaltake Soprano
By the way, ebuyer sell that NZXT case as well. £62

That in reality very few programs can use the four cores and that the E8400 absolutely eats anything and will do the job just the same!!

Can sombody tell me if the Crucial Ram will work with the P35 chipset or will I stick with the orginal plan of Corsair ?

Which case should I go for?

Thermaltake Soprano or Nexus Breeze 500?

Note that: the Nexus Breeze is a pre owned case but should be fine and it's from a very good company I've used plenty of times before.

Get a case without a PSU and with the PSU you have put there.... get 550W

With the quad core, they are the same price and they will use 2 of the cores but more programs are starting to use the 4 cores, so i say go for a quad core.

As for the ram yes it will work but i recommend getting more than 1GB! The 4GB that you have above sounds good.

If you game, the E8400 will perform better. Anything else, the Quad will eat it up, and spit it out.
