New Build

Machin3

Hey guys. Doing a new build for my Dad. :D I have a question about my RAM. I'm going with a pair of OCZ Fatal1ty's and I'm trying to figure out if it will be compatible with the motherboard I picked out.

RAM:

Motherboard:

I'm guessing that it should be because the Fatal1ty's are at 1066 MHz and the mobo supports up to 1200 MHz. Maybe I'm mistaken. Am I right or wrong.

Thanks.

Yes its compatible. Just wondering though, why going socket 775 over am2+/am3? 775 wont see any new cpu releases...

You could get a Phenom II 940 3.0 GHz with an AM2+/AM3 motherboard so you can upgrade in the future ($189.99)

EDIT: !!! I was to slow lol

@ bomberboysk =[
@ OP the 940 would be the better choice :) can OC pretty well can upgrade in the future without getting a new motherboard = money saved :)

Yeah xD or a Phenom II 720 for $139.00 which would work fine (Also might be able to unlock that 4th core ;) )
