hi guys new to this,im guna build a new computer for gaming and everyday computing,(internet, burning, etc)ive been looking at a few motherboards which are the asus p7p55d-e lx,gigabyte ga-x58a-udr3,ASUS Maximus III GENE ,Asus P6T Intel X58, Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P,
just wondering if there are any more motherboards at the same sort of price or maybe a bit lower.also what other components would you use with either of these motherboards, psu, cpu, memory etc.thnx guys

hi there thnx for reply,i have a budget of around 500 pounds,i have a few things, monitor, keyboard ,mouse,cd drives, dvd drives,a few harddrives im willing to buy a better hard drive tho.thnx

Do you have the OS? If you do, get
AMD Quad Core X4 9350e
2 x 2GB 240Pin DDR2 800Mhz
500GB 3.5" 7200rpm SATA Hard Drive
Micro ATX Tower Case With 350w PSU
SATA 22x DVD Writer
ATI Radeon 5750 1024MB
Here comes the boring Mobo stuff:

NVIDIA Geforce 7025/nForce 630a
Audio ALC662 High Definition Audio 6-Channel CODEC
IO 1 x VGA
1 x PS/2 Keyboard
1 x PS/2 Mouse
1 x LAN(RJ45) port
4 x USB 2.0/1.1
1 x COM port
6 -Channel Audio I/O
LAN 10/100/1000
Socket Type AM2+
USB 10 USB 2.0/1.1 ports (6 ports at mid-board, 4 ports at back panel)
RAID RAID 0,1,5,10,JBOD
SATA Ports 4
IDE Ports 1
PCI 2
PCI-EX 1 x PCIe x16
1 x PCIe x1
Max FSB 1066
Memory Slots 2
Max Memory Capacity 8GB

That was all copied and pasted (the mobo specs, that is),

it comes in at around £420 :) with OS about £500 :D

might want to recommend him a AM3 based chip, probably a dual core, and a radeon 5770, would be solid there...but that eats up alot of the budget...

-reasoning for the dual core, opens up the possibility of upgrading to something better in the future/unlocking cores, without running into a dead end socket with am2/am2+
