I need
Monitor (nice but avg not to fancy)
Motherboard
Memory
Case (it does not matter how it looks, stays cool)
cpu (c2d)

Other objects are not needed...
Unless I plan to oc, wich I will be tempted and do afterwards..... :o

What size monitor? Widescreen (16:10) or standard (4:3)? Price range? Any specific features you're looking for in a motherboard?

On the monitor ofc the bigger the better but I wish to pay bang for my money so suggest some options for me... thx

About that widesscreen 16:10 or standard 4:3, Whats the diffrence?

Price range is bang for my money... (Whats worth buying) good price ect.

I am going to oc (first time ill do that) so good ocing mobo
Means good ram...

4gb of memory capacity on the mobo will be nice..(will 8gb improve much more?)

Avg onboard video and sound...

What other features are available?

Sorry for being a pain in the ass :o

Well, which Core 2 Duo? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...0722265+1051707842&Submit=ENE&SubCategory=343

Keep in mind that April 22 Intel will cut prices and introduce new processors with a higher L2 cache.

For OC'ing, this is a fabulous motherboard.

How much ram do you want? 1gb, 2gb? 1gb RAM 2gb RAM

Sorry for not replying..I was configuring another computer...but please don't bump a thread after 10 minutes..that's just spam.

You don't want to use onboard video, it's crap. An E6600 and onboard video just don't make sense. You will need a video card.

No you can't play games on onboard video, the 8600 Ultra coming out in the next month??? is going to be good for the price(170) and if you play alot of games you can get the 8800 GTS 320 Mb or 640 Mb, 300 and 400 respectively.

That monitor use to be 199 with free shipping :[
I was going to get one, but then I got busy and was too late to buy it.. so i figured I'd do it first thing the next day...
Then the sale on it ended :[ and went back to that price.
Now I'm bitter and won't buy one :p

It's $200 after a MIR and it still has free shipping.

Guys look he needs a PC that will be budget and reliable, NOT a thousand questions, just build him and see if he likes it.

Mthrbrd- Gigabyte DS3 965P <If u have or are getting a vid card
Mthrbrd- Gigabyte DS3 965G <If you do not have a video card
CPU- Intel C2D E6600 2.4Ghz <Wait until April price'll b @ $224
RAM- Corsair XMS2 1Gb 2x 512mb
Monitor- Sceptre 19" Widescreen
Case- Antec Performance ATX Mid w/ 500w PSU

This is a good build, DS3 is a very compatible board, for future stuff that is.

For a video card, wait on the 8600 to come out or go with a high powered 7000 series<starting to become left behind.
