New card or not?

Hi...
I have an older computer with the following:

AMD 3800X2 on a 939 MB
8600 GTS 512MB video card
2G DDR ram
450w PS
LG 24" LCD monitor

This computer plays games like COD 4, Fallout 3 etc very well on high settings, and even plays Crysis well on medium.
Do you think it would be worth it to upgrade to say a 9600GT card for maybe another year with this rig, or should I just hold off and replace the whole thing. The new card is only about $100 which isnt a big deal. Thanks.

Dave

In my eyes, the upgrade isn;t worth it, you wouldn't get much of a preformance increase because of the out-dated socket. I would save up 300$ then upgrade your 3800, to something like a 720BE, and a the 7 series chipset, or 8 series mobo. Then get that 4850 or 9800GT.

9600GT while nice isn't worth the upgrade.

Start saving up your cash and in a 6 months or so upgrade your system to the AM3 or the 1366 socket if you like Intel.

Then pick up a GTX 260 216 or a GTX 275 (depending on the prices in 6 months)
