New computer $400

I have no idea what anything means when it comes to computers.

Here's what I'll be using it for:
School
Minecraft
SCII
Facebook
4chan
Military stuff online

I'd like to keep it around $400 not including the monitor. I've been looking around Tigerdirect and Nextag but honestly I just don't have a clue as to what I'm looking at. And building one is not a possibility, so any suggestions and links would be much appreciated.

Nope. The only thing I have is a Macbook.

I've found these and I'm not sure which would be the best for the money.

The 1st one I can get with a 19" monitor and it only costs $350

The 2nd comes as is for $499

The 3rd would be just over $500 after adding the OS and internal wireless card.

Would any of these be a good way to go?

400$ is really hard to make a good gaming build, if there is any hard drive you can re-use or pick one off a friend for cheap then thats great, otherwise it's gonna come up to about 500$ including the OS, if not about 400$ including HDD.

If you're looking for a decent gaming build, with nothing too graphics intense, then a kit build from tigerdirect would be what I'd buy
...
Actually, that's what I did to be honest, $299 after rebate, AMD Phenom X6 processor with 8gb RAM, 1Tb HD, + Case and MOBO.

Runs extremely fast, runs all my games like AVA and others smooth on high settings, no graphics card, just straight out of box.
It's my build preparing for the release of Diablo 3

I'll prolly pick up a graphics card later on to help boost up the speed a little

That sounds like a good idea, then all you need is a OS and if you like, a dedicated graphics card like a 6770.
