New Computer Build Problems

I just made a AMD 64-bit comp.
-AMD 64 Bit 3400+ (754)
-Asus K8V SE Deluxe Socket 754 Motherboard
-Corsair Value Select 512MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz CL2.5
-Diablo ATX 550w Dual Led Power Supply

When i boot up the comp using a 60gb maxtor hard drive with windows xp on it the computer says twice:

Serial_CH0 Master: no Device

Than....

No device attached to FastTrak Controller: The BIOS is not installed.

So what do i do?

Is it a SATA, PATA, or SCSI drive?

Im using a IDE hard drive connection.

I have that same motherboard. dont worry about it, all its telling you is that you dont have any devices connected to the serial ata connectors on your system

You can also disable the controller if you dont wanna see that msg
