New Computer FIRST START!

Okay, I've assembled my computer. All the parts and pieces are finally together. (correctly, I hope)

So, how do I start it?

I have a Western Digital Raptor 74G 10K RPM harddrive that came from newegg.com with no start up disk, so I down loaded what I thought was the dos driver from their website. Anyway, I get the error message txtsetup.oem missing. I did a search and could not find anything. Please help.

I have not built too many computers but why are you trying to install dos drivers? Shouldn't you just put in the windows cd then press F6 to install the SATA drivers?

I thought it was that easy, but when I did that, it gave me the error "txtsetup.oem missing".

you don't need hard drive drivers to install windows on that board. The 915P has native SATA support. Just turn it on, set up the boot order and other BIOS options as needed and put the windows cd in and away you go.

I finally figured it out. I had RAID set up in the BIOS! It works now that I configured it correctly.
