So, this is my first post, and its kind of a challenge to all the computer building people here. Our school is in need of upgrading our computer lab to entirely new computers. This means 20 or so new computers, and a server. So, is anyone brave enough to take on the challenge of designing 20 odd computers? If so, then read on, brave adventurer!
2 computers will be used entirely for video and picture editing
18 computers will be used for general software, such as Word, but will also include programs such as Solid Edge, Bently Microstation, and Sketchup.
We also need a server that will be responsible for all of these computers. Every class that uses these computers will be saving to this server. It will also need a way to be backed up regularly.
It would be nice if the normal computers could be under $1,000, the video editors under $1,500, and the server under $2,000.
