New computer! LOUD FAN!

Hiya, just bought a custom built computer to my specifications. when i turn it on, the fan makes a rather loud wirring noise all the time. is that normal? can i do anything that will reduce the noise of it, as it is quite annoying! thanks

Do you know which fan is making the noise? I build a pc and i added an extra fan to the door and thats all you hear is that one fan, lol. They do sell material that you can line the inside of the case, mostly the inside of the removable door to help insulate the noise.
 
however insulating the noise will also insulate the heat. Try tightening the screws to the fans or buying some quieter ones. There are other options like water cooling but these are not cheap and easy ways to cool inside the case.
