Hey guys, I've decided to buy a new pc.
I'm "kind of" new to this stuff, so I need some opinions on the new pc that I wanted to buy for basic gaming.

1Gbit NIC
2 years carry-in (free service)
AMD Radeon 7770 1GB
DVD Burner Optical Disc Drive
8GB DDR3 RAM
Cooler Master K-350 Advanced 3.0 Green
Asus M5A78L-M/USB3
AMD Zambezi FX-4100 QuadCore
500 GB Hard Drive SataIII
7.1 Sound Card
standard cooling
51-in-1 Cardreader
600 Watt Cooler Master power supply

Thanks in advance!

If you can configure this yourself spend less on the PSU and get something like a Corsair CX 430 or CX 500 (better brand anyway) and spend more on the graphics card and get a 6850 or a 6870.

You don't need the sound card, spend that money on an aftermarket cooler (Hyper 212+) and OC your 4100.

Sadly I can't take parts away, however I can upgrade them.
Well the only thing I will be doing is basic gaming, mw3 and some other games, won't this one do? ;s

Yes it will do fine, just the 6850 or the 6870 would be better, but a 7770 will still be absolutely fine and is by no means "a bad card". :)

what other games? Because a 7900m GTX will max MW3 @ 1200p without issue @ 20ish frames. So your great there. But you may need more for other games.

MW3 would be the biggest game I'd play :p
I just play MW3, The Walking Dead and some other small ones.
I'm a video maker aswell and editor, would this PC render fast? Not sure where to look at for that :d

Thanks for your reply!

Generally speaking nvidia cards render better (that is coming from a CAD background. I am not a video renderer so I can't say for sure).

Otherwise the PC should do everything you want just fine.

Yes NVIDIA cards are better if the software you are using uses CUDA technology, if not then an ATI will be fine. ATI uses 'Stream' technology with their cards, but like CUDA, the software has to support it in order to make use of it.

Either card will be fine, it's only something to worry about really when rendering professionally.
