While putting the processor and heat sink on i bent a few pins on the mobo and the computer would not turn on obviously. Now i straighted out all of the pins with a needle and got everything working. It will not allow me to install XP or Vista they both freeze up, the XP install freezes up on the "Starting Windows" alert after it loads all of the drivers. Vista freezes on the First screen with the Background. In the begning when i first got it to boot up it took extremely long recognizing my cdrom,HDD,and dvd rom, now it does it very quickly. Ive tried everything i can think of does anyone have any thoughts or ideas on how to fix this, or do you think bending the pins on the mobo for the cpu has something to do with this? thanks in advance.

**Edit** ive also swapped out the ram, and nothing changed.

If the pins are where they should be, then I cant see them being a problem, it sounds more like an overheating and locking problem. Check your heatsink and thermal paste.

Have you checked the timings of your ram in the bio's? If the board is set to automatic it could be causing problems with the timing. You might have to set it manually.
