Bought this computer of the internet from a man who claimed to be a knowledgeable computer technician, what I received was far from a gaming computer which was my intended purchase. since then I have put over 300 dollars into this computer. it still is not running at the capacity I believe it should be at. I have put in a Graphics card, and a new power source, my last resort would be change out the motherboard, leaving me with an expensive shell. Thoughts on which motherboard to buy or even another route to take, I Spent $275 on the original computer which he claimed was valued at $450 +, since then the initial 300, the computer has been an investment for the past 3 months, I don't want to spend more then $200 in the final operations of this disaster, what course of action would you recommend?

Need to know what you got to tell you. If your staying with the same architecture the motherboards not going to make much difference, that is unless your wanting to overclock and the board doesn't support it. Its got more to do with the processor/video card/memory and harddrive to some extent.

Since the man says it's a $450 PC I doubt it would be a gaming system in the first place. What make a gaming PC is the video card and I mean a good one and that cost $$$.

Do download Speccy and post the summary. We can help you then.
