GPU - XFX 9600GT 512mb 170$
DVD - Asus 2014L1T SATA 39$
HDD - 500G SATAII 16MB 89$

Total: 1246$

anything i should consider changing??
i plan to use Vista Ultimate 64 bit

however mobo supports crossfire.
i doubt ill ever dual tho

Suggestions:

GPU BFG Nvidia 9800GTX OC 512mb ($199 - $239CAD)
- BFG is lifetime warranty, XFX is only 1 year warranty.
- Was going to get 9800GT, but the extra $50 was well worth it.
- I bought for $199, the next day, the price went up to $295.

HDD Seagate 500GB 7200RPM 32MB Cache SATA II ($79.00CAD)

OS Windows XP Premium 64-bit

DVD LG 22x DVD-RW w/LightScribe GH22LS30 ($32.99CAD)
- Burning the DVD, flip, and burn the label too!

Also, I had to wait like 3 hours for the 500GB hard-disk
to format during installation of Ubuntu. Are you sure
you need all that storage?

Now I think I should have gone with 250GB instead.

I dont know why a lot of people need stuff that big.. Thats a lot of space..

dude 4 gigs of 800 shouldnt cost 120 bucks lol you can get it for around 40
