New Computer today - HELP Please

Just got a new computer today, gopt everything working right now. Got a problem I hope someone can help me with.
When I go into a web page and there is a link to contact them or you click on their email I get an error which reads -- "could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed"
Can anyone help - Oh, this is with windows 7

If you are clicking on their mail id then you would need to install a mail client like Microsoft Outlook Express or Mozilla Thunderbird.
That is why you aren't able to send mail.
