New computer

What kind of wireless card should I get? I know it's kinda weird for me to ask this for a desktop computer but if I can't get a wired connection to the router when I get it, what kind of wireless card would be the best balance of performance and price?

call a rep on the phone from amd, running outside the 1333 spec is not supported by the memory controller, and they cant help you if you decide to go beyond that. had that talk with them over the phone when my c2 stepping phenom's memory controller bit the big one. may not void the warranty, but its definately not supported by amd and i dont recommend it either, hence why now the new bulldozer chips are upping the memory controller limits to 1866 speed.

Thats about what I said, AMD sticks with JEDEC standards of 1.5V and 1333 by default. But runnung 1600 doesnt void the warranty. I'm not talking about one system. I've built a bunch of AMD builds running 1600 with C2 and C3 and never really had a problem even with the C2. Both my 720 and 740 are C2 and both run 1600 just fine too.

tho im still not sure why its suggested that he gets fast ram when the cpu will be the biggest potential bottleneck here, due to lack of cores, tho im not sure what chip he went with at this point.

For the fact that 1600 is about the same price, why not? Plus it wil just default to 1333. And if you want it at 1600, its not a big deal just to manually set the speed/timing and voltage. And how many cores you have, has nothing to do with the speed of your memory

Wait lemme get this straight.... I want to go with the 1600 regardless if they run at 1333 because then there is room for improvement if I overclock and there's a higher resale value?

The first part is true, but the resale value is not going to be to much more. 1600 and 1333 aint but a few bucks different. (the main reason of why not go ahead and get 1600)

Is there anything that is optional to a computer like this but could help alot, I can't think of anything but I want to get this to the best I can for the price range.

IMPORTANT: This was on a comment for the Mobo!

Specific to linux:
The 2 USB 3.0 ports don't work in linux because there are no drivers for the Etron EJ168 chipset. And optical audio wasn't working out of the box.
Also, using the proprietary AMD video drivers graphics are unbelievably choppy and video is unwatchable. Using the open source drivers everything is much better, but there are some dropped frames watching video. It's noticeable but isn't terrible. But because of it I've decided I'm going to use a discrete Nvidia card I have lying around. Too bad, I would've liked to use the HDMI with audio.
