I'm thinkin of buyin a new computer, how does this sound??

CPU:AMD 64 FX 55
GPU:Gigabyte 7800GTX
MoBo:Asus A8N-SLI PREMIUM
PSU:TrueControl 2.0 550W
HD:Western digital raptor de 36 Gb + Hitachi 80 Gb
RAM:2 GB of RAM (CORSAIR)

Until then, Stalex111

Nice case, I like the look... No black lights, viewing windows or slot machines arms mounted on the side. That junk is always too much. Great pick on the case.. Where do you plan on getting the hardware from? Locally?

that computer looks good and i like the case to how much is it? and are you buying all of your stuff from newegg or localy and where did you find that case

looks great, although i would strongly sugguest that you get the 74gb raptor instead since its only about $70 more. And i would buy an additional 120-200gb hard drive since there not much more. And the more free space you have, the faster programs will load. (to an extent)

ya, on top of the raptor, get a bigger 7,200. trust me, you'll use the space. Also, post a link to you PSU, if you ever go SLI, you gotta mek sure that thing can support it. With an AMD FX, yo uwanna make sure thats corsaiir XMS

I'm building it for him and will answer questions too. All pieces are bought locally. He will buy more disk space later on if he needs it. The FX55 has been changed to an X2 4800+, and that RAM is XMS.

For the price of the A8N-SLI Premium (not the plain DLX model which has flaws which were addressed by the Premium), you can get a far superior board via MSI/DFI (id go with MSI as its less of a OCing board and more of a functionality board)

With an AMD FX, yo uwanna make sure thats corsaiir XMS
Why?

I heard the A8N-SLI was the best board on the market.
It isnt. Even my ASUS's own "admission" where they released the A8NSLI DLX Premium to fix the problems with the A8NSLI DLX

the Albatron is faster as the DFI ( especially when overclocking)
and it does its job here really good.
1. Well its only faster if you're not overclocking actually. Good luck hitting vDimm 4.0 on it considering the BIOS caps you at 3.0
2. Albatron is a company, not a product (my previous comment assumes you're referring to their flag product, the K8SLI?)
